Geography & Climate
The City is situated at India - Pakistan border on the bank of river Sutlej in Ferozepur City district of Punjab and holds a great importance for several reasons. It is situated between 30°55' North and 74°36' East latitudes. It is surrounded by districts Moga, Muktsar and Kapurthala, and Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. Sutlej and Beas separate from Amritsar in the northwest and farther down from Pakistan.
The City witnesses all the four seasons; spring, summer, monsoon and winter and great rise and fall are seen in the temperatures of winter and summer. In summer maximum temperature goes up to 47 degree Celsius, while temperature falls below freezing points for some time in winter.
How to Reach
By Air :
There is no airport in Ferozepur, the nearest airport is Amritsar, just 97 km away from the city. Amritsar is well connected with other major cities so getting here is not a problem from any part of the world. Almost all the major airlines have their services to Amritsar and Ferozepur City Guide.
By Train :

This memorial depicts undaunted spirit of three national martyrs, namely Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, who recorded their protest against British rule in India and sacrificed their lives for the sake of motherland.Anglo Sikh War Memorial: This war memorial is 21 km away from the central city. It has portraits of historical personalities and paintings showing scenes of the Anglo-Sikh wars and battles.
Barki Memorial:
This memorial was built in 1969 in the memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in 1965 war and paved the way for the fall of Barki town, 15 miles away from the south east of Lahore. It is just 2 km away from the city and Ferozepur City Guide.
Saragarhi Memorial:
Saragarhi Memorial Gurudwara was built in the memory of 21 Sikh soldiers who defended the fort of Saragahi in Wazirstan on September 12th 1897 against an attack of 10 thousand Pathans.

This Gurudwara is situated 5 km away from the city and is known for its historical and religious significance.
Harike Bird Sanctuary:
This reserved forest has numerous varieties of flora and fauna. It is almost 55 km away from the city and it takes just around an hour to get there.
